Nebraska is in the Midwestern United States and was admitted as the 37th state in 1867. Lincoln is the capital of Nebraska. It is known as a ‘music city’ and is the second most populous city in Nebraska and the 71st largest in the United States. Manufacturing has increased in the state since World War 2 with metals, electrical machinery and transportation equipment being important industries. Nebraska also has a large agriculture sector making them a major producer of corn, soybeans, beef and pork. In the state, there are two major climate zones represented, the eastern half and western half. The western half has hot summers and cold winters whilst the eastern half has very humid weather.
